Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meter event in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top three in all of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
